About

My first twenty years were spent in the Minneapolis, MN area.  During college, I studied Environmental Science.  The first semester of my junior year was spent enrolled in the National Student Exchange in Upstate New York; the second semester was spent at the The University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna.  After graduation, I worked for about three years at the Capitol Region Watershed District is St. Paul.  Then I traveled in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia for about two years before starting a M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.  I worked in Professor Steven Loheide’s Hydroecology research group, focusing my research in the application of compost use in transportation projects.
